PISTONS AND PIXELS

Pistons and Pixels is the work of car and motorbike fanatic, and award winning photographer, James Stone.

​

I have been in the modified car scene for over 30 years, mostly in old school JDM. I started and ran one of the biggest car clubs in the UK, and was heavily involved in the Skyline scene back in the day.

​

I am based in Brighton UK and I have a real passion for photographing anything automotive related. I am available for private and commercial shoots in the UK.

​

I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years, 

previously I specialised in documentary, portrait and fine art and have had my work featured in the BBC and various publications, including National Geographic.
 

I have received a number of a awards and accolades including:

ARPS - Associate, Royal Photography Society

ABIPP - Associate, British Institute of Professional Photographers

National Geographic Editors Choice (x3) - Travel Photographer of the year (2010, 2011 & 2013)

Gold Awards in Documentary - British Institute of Professional Photographers

Silver - AidEx Humanitarian Photojournalism Awards
